I have been a professional actress for the past 20 years. Early on in my career I did a great deal of physical stage work that demanded a high degree of fitness. I've done them all - from Jane Fonda's workouts, Callanetics, Dance Aerobics - you name it (we're talking as far back as leg warmers here!) I came across Pilates in an interview with an actor. It immediately struck me as being something a bit different. I first thought it was more to do with dance, but this actor was talking about how it had helped him get into shape for a role. Not in an aerobic way but more of deep abdominal toning.
I got to hear of actors adopting the technique to help with their posture and breath control. The technique seemed to promise so much; I wanted to find out more. I bought a book, a video and eventually found a teacher
(not many around a few years ago) and my life changed…I became Pilates passionate!
Pilates not only gave me a flat stomach and toned body but helped with my breathing and generally brought me a calmness of spirit (much needed for an actor.) By this time I was a mother and working in television. Realising I was spending too much time away filming than being with my son, I made the decision to put acting on hold for a few years. It was during this time I thought ‘Why not train as a Pilates Instructor?' As a self-employed trainer I could balance my work and home life more easily. So I did and here I am… What I didn't bargain for was the huge demand and interest people have in Pilates and also my growing love and obsession with it. Now if an acting job comes along, believe me, it'll have to be a good one
to drag me away from my almost perfect life teaching Pilates here in Mumbles.

Gym Instruction, Circuit Training, Nutrition, Exercise Program Design, Fitness Testing and Personal Training.
Also an A1 Assessor in NVQ Exercise and Fitness.
I have specialised in PILATES gaining qualifications in Matwork Based Pilates Fundamental and Intermediate levels. Pilates in Pregnancy and Back Care Pilates with Michael King at THE PILATES INSTITUTE, LONDON.
I am a full member (Advanced Instructor Level 3) of REPS - Register of Exercise Professionals.
